Pues sí, señor Ordóñez González, tiene usted razón. He consultado los siginificados de 'manifiesto' y 'debate', y me he dado cuenta de que son conceptos derivados del materialismo dialéctico (han tenido que pasar muchos años para que me apercibiese de que, sin yo saberlo, era comunista). Igualmente me ha hecho reflexionar eso de que la visión del pasado no se puede modernizar, y tengo que darle la razón. Todo el mundo sabe que, por ejemplo, la visión de la Roma Imperial existente en el siglo XIII fue en todo igual a la que luego hubo en el XVIII, y también a la de ahora. Asimismo, resulta que la Historia, tal y como, sabiamente, tiene a bien usted recordarnos, sirve para sacar conclusiones sobre los resultados, convenientes o inconvenientes, que determinadas acciones o decisiones, en contextos aparentemente dispares, extraños, alejados, diferentes (pero sólo aparentemente, pues de todos es conocido que lo humano y lo social es permanente, continuo, natural, universal, estable e inmutable) producen y actuar en consecuencia.

Ahora que hemos entrado por la senda de la verdad, ya podemos volver a nuestros debates (perdón, quise decir conversaciones) y ocupaciones habituales como historiadores en la certeza de avanzar en el recto sentido. Llegado era el momento de que alguien nos abriese los ojos. Eternamente agradecido a su preclara inteligencia y tan conciso como iluminador y bíblicamente revelador verbo.
