What is History under Debate? |

Dear colleagues
Usually we say that the digital contact is not sufficient to again animate to an academic community type like HaD, continue being essential actual activities that they allow to know and to give us us to know, to organize to us and to take contact with other historiográficas realities. Between October of 2001 and July of 2002 we have made 20 presentations and meetings of HaD in academic institutions of Sea of the Silver, Buenos Aires, Conception of Uruguay (Ar), Pontevedra, Lima, Castile-The Spot, Lérida, Cadiz, Bogota, the Slaughter (Ar), Mexico DF, County of Urgell (It is) and Guatemala. You can consult in the Web photos, interventions, cuts of press, lists of assistants and other data. She is in march the organization of more acts of this type in America, Spain and Portugal for the next months. The height of the academic network HaD, that has reached east course to 1534 subscribers in general list and 407 in list HI, has much to do with these meetings and the new features that we have been offering. It exists before and later to the elaboration of the Manifesto a 2001 and subsequent formation of the Manifest Group, whose components, supported from Santiago de Compostela, develop to initiatives of form decentralized in the common task of diffusion of HaD and its historiográfica proposal, mainly in Argentina and Mexico, countries where, along with Spain, is greater the implantation of our community/network. Decentralization that we practiced more in Internet (whatever it is identified properly can propose debates, suggest initiatives and participate freely) that outside Internet, being today ésto more feasible thanks to the existence of GM. Decentralization of actual activities whose necessity is made feel specially in those places and countries more moved away of to the geographic center of a the network, without it means, of course, that we are in favor to create traditional structures, here or there, which they limit the freedom of the operation in network that characterizes to HaD and explains our constant expansion. We animated, then, to the colleagues and colleagues who create in HaD like something more than a forum to that they are united to the Manifest Group, if are in agreement with our basic positions, and thus help us to contruir our young historiográfico movement with the reflection and the debate, the investigation and the organization of activities in each university, city or country. Podéis consultar en la web fotos, intervenciones, recortes de prensa, listas de asistentes y otros datos. Está en marcha la organización de más actos de este tipo en América, España y Portugal para los próximos meses. El auge de la red académica HaD, que ha alcanzado este curso a 1534 suscriptores en la lista general y 407 en la lista HI, tiene mucho que ver con estas reuniones y las novedades que hemos ido ofreciendo. Existe un antes y un después a la elaboración del Manifiesto 2001 y subsiguiente formación del Grupo Manifiesto, cuyos componentes, apoyados desde Santiago de Compostela, desarrollan iniciativas de forma descentralizada en las tarea común de difusión de HaD y su propuesta historiográfica, sobre todo en Argentina y México, países donde, junto con España, es mayor la implantación de nuestra comunidad /red. Descentralización que practicamos más en Internet (cualquiera que se identifique debidamente puede proponer debates, sugerir iniciativas y participar libremente) que fuera de Internet, siendo hoy ésto más factible gracias a la existencia del GM. Descentralización de actividades presenciales cuya necesidad se hace sentir especialmente en aquellos lugares y países más alejados del centro geográfico de al red, sin que ello quiera decir, por supuesto, que seamos partidarios de crear estructuras tradicionales, aquí o allá, que coarten la libertad del funcionamiento en red que caracteriza a HaD y explica nuestra constante expansión. Animamos, pues, a los colegas y colegas que creen en HaD como algo más que un foro a que se unan al Grupo Manifiesto, si están de acuerdo con nuestras posiciones básicas, y nos ayuden así a contruir nuestro joven movimiento historiográfico con la reflexión y el debate, la investigación y la organización de actividades en cada universidad, ciudad o país.
