Dear Colleagues all
This is not a reply to a particular intervention but merely a suggestion
that some steps be taken to reduce the language barrier that seems to
exist. The translation programs either do not work or work so badly as
to distort the intention of the writers. I happen to know enough
Spanish to read the originals but for anyone who does not, the situation
would be extremely
confusing. Why not simply use our own languages? Most of us can
read several as it is a necessary tool in historical work (I can read
four in addition to my own). English is a world language these days, but
so are Spanish, French and
Russian.
Comments welcome.
