Miguel Ángel López Trujillo was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1971. He studied in the Universities of Alcalá (Licenciatura en Geografía e Historia, 1994), in the University of Edinburgh, Scotland (1992-93), and in Southwest Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas, USA (Masters of Arts with a major in History, 1998). He has taught History, and Spanish language and civilization at Alcalá and Southwest Texas State universities. Lopez Trujillo is author of Inventando el pasado. Un siglo de protección del patrimonio histórico de Texas (2001), as well as some articles and a book review published in Spanish and American journals. His main interests are Archeology, Ancient History, Historic Preservation, American History and Internet. He is currently working on his Ph. D. dissertation at Alcalá whose topic is the history of historic preservation in Spain.
