PAPERS Papers for the thematic sections (and exceptionally for round tables) may be presented in a email consisting of a title, a one page summary and a summarised CV. Once the paper is accepted, the full text (electronic format and hard copy), up to a maximum length of 20 pages (20,000 characters with spaces) must be submitted before June 1st 2004 to allow confirmation of the paper and its inclusion in the final schedule of the conference. The proceedings shall consist of three volumes, as it was the case in previous conferences, with offprints for authors and a CD-ROM including the totality of the materials. Registered and confirmed speakers in the thematic sections or round tables shall be entitled to a 50% discount in registration fees. Purely empirical work shall not be admitted. The History under Debate Conferences are devoted to reflection and historical methodology, historiography and theory, immediate history, teaching and the dissemination and debate of history. Papers and short texts shall only be accepted if they fall within the scope of the thematic sections and round tables of this conference. Only those papers that are personally presented at this conference shall be published. Texts are accepted in the main European and American languages.
