REGISTRATION FORM

PAPERS

Registered attendants will be entitled to deliver papers in the thematic sections (exceptionally at round tables) by emailing the title, a one-page summary and a abbreviated CV prior to 1 September 2010.

Once the paper has been accepted by the board of the conference, and upon receiving proof of payment, the full version of the paper must be submitted (electronic format and hard copy). It must be an unpublished paper up to 20 pages long (20,000 characters with spaces)

The deadline for submission of papers is 1 November 2010 so that the paper may be finally confirmed and may be included in the final conference programme.

As it was the case in previous editions, the Proceedings will be published in three volumes, the authors being entitled to an offprint.
Purely empirical papers will not be accepted. The History under Debate Conferences are devoted to methodology, historiography, theory, immediate history, history’s relation to society and teaching as well as to reflecting and debating on history approached globally.
For a paper or a brief text to be accepted, it must be within the scope of the thematic sections and round tables of the conference, which does not subscribe to traditional criteria of thematic or chronological specialisation as they are already covered by other symposia, seminars and conferences.

Please do not hesitate to consult us on the thematic suitability of potential paper submissions.
For a paper to be published, it must be presented in person at the conference.
Papers will be accepted in the main languages of Spain, Europe and America. Simultaneous translation will be available.

ROUND TABLES
In the History under Debate Conferences, round tables are of paramount importance. They will be fully transcribed and published in the Proceedings.

All participants and speakers are invited to participate in advance by emailing brief texts prior to 1 November 2010. These texts will be certified, digitally disemminated and  considered for the makeup of the presidency of each of the tables.

SPECIFIC CONVOCATION
History under Debate is an academic community of a new type, a forum and historiographic tendency founded in 1993 (1st Conference) and 1999 (the Internet), that since 2004 (3rd Conference) has been favouring in its conferences papers on, from and by History under Debate, both as regards section II.3 specifically devoted to our thematic network and the rest of the subject areas.
We are interested in studies on the history of History under Debate, as well as in the teaching experiences arising from the use of History under Debate materials, the analysis of the 12 volumes of proceedings from the previous editions in keeping with the subjects and objectives of the 4th Conference, etc.

The sources for these special papers are our Internet debates, whether those of a general nature or those on Immediate History, which demand detailed studies; the 90 presentations and further contents of our website ( Anniversaries, Academia Solidaria…); the over 300 videos in HD-Youtube; the studies and papers by the co-ordinator and all the other active members of History under Debate where debate, orientation and research is being done on our paradigm/consensus , which is under construction and open to everyone so that it can be discussed in person in this second, great edition so far in the 21st century.

Speakers confirmed by the co-ordinator for this special convocation will be entitled to a 50% discount in the registration fee.

BROADCAST

Like in the 2004 Conference, the most important debates and lectures will be broadcast live.
