History to Debate is a privileged place of international encounter and historiográfica discussion, in where the Latin American historians (surely the nourished delegations more) have all facility to feel to pleasure. But History to Debate is something more. It is not only necessary to mention other initiatives, like the preparation of a magazine, but also to insist on which one is to promote a proposal that is processing a group of joungs historians, mainly Spanish, under the coordination of Carlos Barros. The present crisis of history, effect of the domination of the neoliberal visions and the thought posmoderno, takes to the fragmentation of an historical knowledge in breadcrumbs tendencialmente, to a relativista skepticism that reduces history to a mere narration without scientific pretención, to a folded despolitizada resignation in the pleasures of the erudition without commitments with the society. As opposed to this situation, History to Debate calls to one more a reaction energica than those than now they have been tried. Nevertheless, one is not to return to the square certainties before, the unifying paradigms and dogmaticamente projected on any human reality, to the belief in the laws of history that for sure guaranteed the luminous future of the humanity. One is to construct to something new, more alla as much of the rigidity of yesterday like of the today decomposition, recovering one more a more combative history, safer if same (but without excesses), it jeopardize more. Of certain form, History to Debate has the ambition to formulate a new paradigm for the next century, which, ademas of the inevitable indefinición of a process in course, cannot let generate some voltages in sine of the world-wide corporation of the historians. It is certain that nobody can be self-proclaimed detentor of a new paradigm, which does not exist like so until it comes shared by an ample proportion from the investigators. Also, podriamos to ask to us if in the exposition of History to Debate the theoretician does not dominate the methodologic thing excessively, creating for many historians one lejania with its empirical work. However, we could recognize that History to Debate puts in the center of the table a nowadays fundamental problem and that the reaction that wants to cause is than healthful more. History to Debate either does not try to have the solution nor to draw up the unique way towards the history of century XXI.It calls us to a collective effort, in which we can participate with our differences of opinion and our different ways to make and to think history. Of History to Debate could to say that yes, that it is a new historiográfica current, and during the Congress of Santiago, the observer sometimes could have the sensation to see be born that movement of resistance and reconstruction.
