I have read very at great length the extensive exposition with which it refutes my supposed accusation to the Catholic Church to falsify History. Yes it is certain, that in some occasions [ since my area of specialty that is the Spanish Civil War (1936-39) and the call "first Francoism" (1939-45) ] I have reproached to the Spanish CATHOLIC HIERARCHY, its connivencia with the military rise of general Franco and with the dictatorship that followed until its death in 1975. Such complicity is a guaranteed historical fact scientifically by most of but the prestigious historians of the world, to such an extent, that rehuso to justify such obviedad.

The Spanish catholic HIERARCHY, benefitted until offensive limits of its cohabitation with the military dictatorship; it allowed a program of extermination of the overcome republicans, praised until the shameful absurdity but the preeminence of the tyranny on any spying of justice or compassion. The Church yes that has exploded in its benefit. the persecution of which it was object in the republican Spain of Julio to November of 1936, unjust actions that they did not have the institutional character of the repression of the later Francoism. Really that surprises its affirmation to me inasmuch as, in spite of being extremely rigorous with the religious HIERARCHY that single remembers ITS victims, but that forgets those whose murder contributed, when giving moral support and until logistic, to the massive executions of the won ones. This it is the only aspect in which yes that I interpret this "selective memory" of the victims, like historical falsification. All the other arguments that You it exhibits to me, seem to me very reasonable and, from our different points of view on its confesionalidad, that I do not share, I do not see fundamental dissidences.

He leído muy detenidamente el extenso planteamiento con el que rebate mi supuesta acusación a la Iglesia Católica de falsificar la Historia. Créame que he alucinado leyendo su mensaje por cuando no recuerdo -en ninguno de los foros en los que participo- haberme expresado en este sentido respecto de la Iglesia. Sí es cierto, que en algunas ocasiones [dado que mi área de especialidad que es la Guerra Civil Española (1936-39) y el llamado "primer franquismo" (1939-45)] he reprochado a LA JERARQUÍA CATÓLICA española, su connivencia con el levantamiento militar del general Franco y con la dictadura que siguió hasta su muerte en 1975. Tal complicidad es un hecho histórico avalado científicamente por la mayoría de los mas prestigiosos historiadores del mundo, hasta tal punto, que rehuso a justificar tal obviedad.

La JERARQUÍA católica española, se benefició hasta límites insultantes de su cohabitación con la dictadura militar; permitió un programa de exterminio de los republicanos vencidos, alabó hasta la ridiculez mas vergonzosa la preeminencia de la tiranía sobre cualquier atisbo de justicia o de compasión. La Iglesia sí que ha explotado en su beneficio. la persecución de que fue objeto en la España republicana de Julio a Noviembre de 1936,acciones injustas que no tuvieron el carácter institucional de la represión del franquismo posterior. De verdad que me sorprende su afirmación por cuanto, pese a ser sumamente riguroso con la JERARQUÍA religiosa que solo recuerda a SUS víctimas, pero que se olvida de aquellas a cuyo asesinato contribuyó, al dar soporte moral y hasta logístico, a los fusilamientos masivos de los vencidos. Este es el único aspecto en el que sí que interpreto esta "memoria selectiva" de las víctimas, como falsificación histórica. Todos los demás argumentos que Vd. me exhibe, me parecen muy razonables y, desde nuestros diferentes puntos de vista sobre su confesionalidad, que no comparto, no veo disidencias fundamentales.
