Lo que más me dejó mal y desesperanzado fueron la entrevistas a niños y adolescentes judíos y palestinos. El odio, el rencor, la intransigencia, la negación de la posibilidad de una salida de paz, el fanatismo religioso, se hacía carne en cada uno de los entrevistados y palabra a palabra veía como el conflicto aseguraba su futuro generacional. Creo que hay culpas compartidas y algunos culpables que son más que otros, pero esto no es lo más importante (aunque hace al meollo del conflicto) El principal asunto es ganar la batalla por la paz y en esto resultan fundamental las nuevas generaciones, sin embargo, por lo visto en dicho documental, la salida pacífica ni siquiera está latente como posibilidad en los niños de Israel y Palestina. Es patético ver a niños llenos de odio hacia otros niños y adultos. Parecen adultos en miniatura, repitiendo los horrores generacionales de su padres y abuelos. ¿a qué grado de estupidez religiosa, ideológica, de luchas por poder, puede seguir aspirando el hombre? ¿hasta cuando un hombre matara a otro por esas cuestiones? ¿en dónde está la salida a tanta estupidez? Somos animales instintivos, que aún dentro de las convenciones sociales que nos hacen ser, que nos determinan ontológicamente, mantenemos una profunda vocación autodestructiva, muchas veces estimulada por el discurso dogmático, fanático, irracional al extremo. Los espectáculos dantescos que nos regaló el fatídico siglo XX -con sus dos guerras mundiales, con el genocidio nazi, con la bomba atómica lanzada por Tío Sam, los genocidios étnicos en África, la deshumanización y el hambre asesino que nos proporciona la triunfante práctica capitalista, las múltiples dictaduras, la violencia del Estado que asesina a sus propios ciudadanos, las múltiples guerras (Vietnam, Golfo, etc, etc, etc) que le han llenado de sangre y que niegan aquello de que hemos alcanzado el cenit de la racionalidad, de la civilización- parece que no dejarán de repetirse en el siglo XXI. De colmo, los humanos, nos expandimos hacia nuevas fronteras, abandonando la ensangrentada Tierra y procurando llegar en breve tiempo a Marte. Si a los marcianos no los vemos en las fotografías que últimamente sacan los satélites-robot que mandamos a dicho planeta, es porque apenas se percataron de nuestras intenciones de visitarles y colonizarles, hicieron las valijas y se marcharon lo más lejos posible. Yo haría lo mismo.

La enajenación (en su sentido patológico, clínico) es una "virtud" de la cual no nos podemos desprender. ¿hasta cuando? Esa respuesta la dará el encare de cada uno... o por lo menos, la apuesta por nuestros hijos. No es un panfleto, ni hay que asumirla como una frase que es sólo un graffiti carente de contenido "El futuro está en los niños" Hay que cultivar en ellos la tolerancia, el fanatismo a la vida y el respeto por el otro, la indignación frente a las injusticias, la lucha pero por las utopías que dignifican y valorizan positivamente al hombre y su entorno...todo eso que a nosotros lamentablemente nos cuesta tanto...y cada vez más.

Reduciendo el asunto Palestina- Israel al absurdo, diría que entre otras cosas se están peleando por un muro de mierda, por unos pedazos de cemento, por un dios inexistente, transformando la metafísica religiosa en asesina realidad, por colocar una bandera unos metros más acá o más allá, por unas tierras más, lo cual ni siquiera implica réditos económicos, puesto que seguramente no valen lo que se está gastando en armamento (ni que hablar de los "gastos" en vidas humanas)

Igualmente, y entrando en la definición personal, en el compromiso que creo que igualmente uno debe hacer respecto al conflicto (aunque le parezca una locura), creo que las tierras reclamadas por los palestinos efectivamente le corresponden. Israel sacó a relucir todo su imperialismo en la Guerra de los seis días (y justamente entre medio del fanatismo árabe.) robándose todas las tierras que pudo. Pero no quiero profundizar en esto, pues en todos lados hay quienes defienden una u otra posición y lo suelen hacer de esa manera que no me gusta. En todo caso, sí me afilió a la discusión histórica del asunto.
