Aun cuando coincida en buena parte con la argumentación de Dimas en los referente a la investigación que se realiza ahora en torno a la guerra civil, difiero en lo que hace al General Salas al que siempre he considerado un excelente investigador incapaz de aprovecharse de su condición de militar de modo unilateral. Como bien se sabe este investigador se vino a vivir a Salamanca y desde el Archivo de la Guerra civil, investigó gran parte de sus trabajos.

Por otro lado es evidente que el tema de la GC no está acabado ni mucho menos y que en el Archivo de Salamanca quedan todavía cientos de legajos sin trabajar. Y finalmente, lamento discrepar de su visión idílica de la Universidad. Hay hoy día unos filtros tan fuertes o más que los que conocimos en épocas anteriores. No me parece adecuado citar nombres de personas no afectas al régimen que llegaron a la Cátedra por sus méritos. Cosa que evidentemente también se produce ahora aun cuando ese porcentaje es mínimo si se compara con el número de titulares que acceden promovidos por sus buenos y agradecidos amigos. Es algo que no debería ser pero que existe para mal de todos.
