In this discussion around immediate history I consider that it is not the same to write journalistic notes or articles that to analyze with an historical perspective the present, same problems that have followed a process, therefore can be explained. Absolute the historical truth already has been surpassed, and are the relative truths at the time of the interpretation, those that serve so much to mediate and distant history like a the present. The students are fed up if they are not studying some specialization in our discipline - of that died history, other peoplés to his interests and their experiences. Or it is hour of which the historians we set out to investigate our time and to leave to a side that apathy or, fear? in order to investigate and to teach the problems of the present society, because we have left the sociologists, economists, anthropologists, psicológos, politicians or literatos, that make present history without having that integrating capacity of the knowledge that concern the human societies that history offers. En esta discusión en torno a la historia inmediata considero que no es lo mismo escribir notas o artículos periodísticos que analizar con una perspectiva histórica los problemas actuales, mismos que han seguido un proceso, por lo tanto pueden ser explicados. La verdad histórica absoluta ya ha sido superada, y son las verdades relativas al momento de la interpretación, las que sirven tanto a la historia mediata y lejana como a la presente. Los alumnos están hartos- si no están estudiando alguna especialización en nuestra disciplina -de esa historia muerta, ajena a sus intereses y a sus vivencias. Ya es hora de que los historiadores nos propongamos investigar nuestro tiempo y dejar a un lado esa apatía o, temor? para investigar y enseñar los problemas de la sociedad actual, pues les hemos dejado a los sociólogos, economistas,antropólogos, psicológos, políticos o literatos, que hagan la historia actual sin tener esa capacidad integradora de los conocimientos que conciernen a las sociedades humanas que ofrece la historia.Virginia Avila García
