REPORT OF the PRESENTATION and MEETING DE HaD IN CASTILLA-LA SPOT (21/03/02) Continuing with the series of meetings and encounter that comes celebrating the network HaD from October of 2001, the past 21 of March of 2002 took place the acts of presentation of our initiative in the University of Castile-The Spot (Spain). These acts were made in the Faculty of Humanities of Albacete and they were organized in two parts first, a round table of presentation of the group in the own Faculty, that counted on the interventions of Carlos Barros and Francisco García, Manuel Ortiz and David Igual, professors of the Castilian-manchega university; and second, an open meeting that was celebrated by means of videoconferencia, connecting the Faculty of Albacete (where 29 people went) with other two campuses of the same university those of City Real and Toledo. Here, the attendance surpassed the twenty of people in each case, from which four in Real City and eleven in Toledo showed their interest to receive more information about HaD. As much in the round table as in the meeting, the treated subjects turned around two great assemblies of questions. First, the problems that allow to contextualizar the birth of HaD and its evolution until today. Problems that could be expressed through questions like the following ones Which is the state of health of the historiography in this transit between millenia that we are living? To what extent the word crisis. defines well that state of health? How it has affected the declivity of some ideologies or currents of theoretical interpretation to the own work of the historians? Which are the suitable contained methods and more for the education of history? How an essentially eurocéntrica history must be opened in its conception and its arguments to which it happens beyond Europe? What paper plays in all this context the Spanish historiography? Without a doubt, they are interrogative very complex, but on whose solution it continues being advisable to debate . And the second assembly of questions to that it has been alluded to before referred, already concretely, to the explanation of which it is HaD. and it was done taking care of a 1. Origins of the group and activities developed until the present time (both congresses in Santiago de Compostela, publication of such, international survey on the state of history and projects of investigation); 2. Conversion of HaD in digital community from the opening of an own page Web, whose content was exposed mainly with respect to the lists of debate, mail and immediate history; 3. Writing and company/signature of the HaD Manifesto, of which the main aspects of their 18 proposals were transformed and the different options from support were explained (subscription, diffusion and opinion); and 4. Perspective of future of HaD, concerning basically the project of a digital magazine, the celebration in Santiago of a third congress and the possible translation to the English of the fundamental contents of the Web. In all the cases, the audience of these acts nourished itself of professors and students of some of the diverse humanistic and social disciplines that distribute in Castile-The Spot of history, by discounted, but also of anthropology and philosophy, for example. Like in previous meetings, most of assistants he did not know previously what this same presentation is the network HaD. Pero, together with the diffusion electronic and personal that was made of the text of the HaD Manifesto between the teaching staff of history of the university, and also together with the repercussion of the act in local mass media (Daily digitalis La Close. and newspaper La Truth of Albacete. of the 22 of March), has contributed successfully to extend the knowledge of our group. INFORME DE LA PRESENTACIÓN Y REUNIÓN DE HaD EN CASTILLA-LA MANCHA (21/03/02) Continuando con la serie de reuniones y encuentros que viene celebrando la red HaD desde octubre de 2001, el pasado 21 de marzo de 2002 tuvieron lugar los actos de presentación de nuestra iniciativa en la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (España). Dichos actos se realizaron en la Facultad de Humanidades de Albacete y se organizaron en dos partes primera, una mesa redonda de presentación del grupo en la propia Facultad, que contó con las intervenciones de Carlos Barros y de Francisco García, Manuel Ortiz y David Igual, profesores de la universidad castellano-manchega; y segunda, una reunión abierta que se celebró mediante videoconferencia, conectando la Facultad de Albacete (donde acudieron 29 personas) con otros dos campus de la misma universidad los de Ciudad Real y Toledo. Aquí, la asistencia superó la veintena de personas en cada caso, de las cuales cuatro en Ciudad Real y once en Toledo manifestaron su interés por recibir más información acerca de HaD. Tanto en la mesa redonda como en la reunión, los temas tratados giraron alrededor de dos grandes conjuntos de cuestiones. El primero, los problemas que permiten contextualizar el nacimiento de HaD y su evolución hasta hoy. Problemas que podrían expresarse a través de preguntas como las siguientes ¿Cuál es el estado de salud de la historiografía en este tránsito entre milenios que estamos viviendo? ¿Hasta qué punto la palabra "crisis" define bien ese estado de salud? ¿Cómo ha afectado el declive de algunas ideologías o corrientes de interpretación teórica al propio trabajo de los historiadores? ¿Cuáles son los métodos y contenidos más adecuados para la enseñanza de la historia? ¿Cómo una historia esencialmente eurocéntrica debe abrirse en su concepción y en sus argumentos a lo que ocurre más allá de Europa? ¿Qué papel juega en todo este contexto la historiografía española? .... Sin duda, son interrogantes muy complejos, pero sobre cuya solución sigue siendo conveniente debatir. Y el segundo conjunto de cuestiones a que se ha aludido antes se refería, ya concretamente, a la explicación de lo que es HaD. Y ello se hizo atendiendo a 1. Orígenes del grupo y actividades desarrolladas hasta la actualidad (los dos congresos en Santiago de Compostela, publicación de los mismos, encuesta internacional sobre el estado de la historia y proyectos de investigación); 2. Conversión de HaD en comunidad digital a partir de la apertura de una página web propia, cuyo contenido se expuso sobre todo en lo relativo a las listas de debate, de correo y de historia inmediata; 3. Redacción y firma del Manifiesto HaD, del que se resumieron los principales aspectos de sus 18 propuestas y se explicaron las distintas opciones de apoyo (suscripción, difusión y opinión); y 4. Perspectivas de futuro de HaD, concernientes básicamente al proyecto de una revista digital, a la celebración en Santiago de un tercer congreso y a la posible traducción al inglés de los contenidos fundamentales de la web. En todos los casos, el auditorio de estos actos se nutrió de profesores y alumnos de algunas de las diversas disciplinas humanísticas y sociales que se imparten en Castilla-La Mancha de historia, por descontado, pero también de antropología y filosofía, por ejemplo. Como en reuniones previas, la mayoría de asistentes desconocía con anterioridad lo que es la red HaD. Pero esta misma presentación, unida a la difusión electrónica y personal que se realizó del texto del Manifiesto HaD entre el profesorado de historia de la universidad, y unida también a la repercusión del acto en los medios de comunicación locales (Diario digital "La Cerca" y diario "La Verdad de Albacete" del 22 de marzo), han contribuido a extender con éxito el conocimiento de nuestro grupo.
