And this creativity that exists in the individual, sometimes in union of others, sees completely transmutada in the process of its temporary formation by the added one of the new technologies.

Permitanmé to tell them to a experience happened in the network a little before the last summer. It happened in a list of email of economists, Post-Keynesian Thought (PKT), where an credited Australian investigator presented/displayed a book (the Economy the Naked Emperor of Social Sciences) who was little going to be published later. During a length and sometimes debilitating month of discussions, practicamente it was not left anything of the original text that not outside commented or criticized. Finally many original ideas pervivieron, but others were modified or replaced thanks to the discussions.

Quisiera señalar con respecto a la Historia Digital un aspecto que me parece importante, el de la evolución en las formas de creatividad a las que nos induce la Red.

Frente a las posibilidades de imitación que proporcionan las nuevas tecnologias de la información, sin duda el aspecto mayoritariamente más explotado, muchas veces abusivamente; cuando de historiar se trata y hay una actividad intelectual, existe el poder de comprender las cosas con otras formas de ordenar la experiencia histórica. Y esta creatividad que existe en el individuo, a veces en unión de otros, se ve completamente transmutada en el proceso de su formación temporal por el añadido de las nuevas tecnologías.

Permitanmé contarles una experiencia acaecida en la red un poco antes del verano pasado. Sucedió en una lista de e-mail de economistas, la Post-Keynesian Thought (PKT), donde un acreditado investigador australiano presentó un libro (La Economía el Emperador Desnudo de la Ciencias Sociales) que iba a ser publicado poco más tarde. Durante un largo y a veces extenuante mes de discusiones, practicamente no quedó nada del texto original que no fuera comentado o criticado. Finalmente pervivieron muchas ideas originales, pero otras fueron modificadas o sustituidas gracias a las discusiones.

El ejemplo pretende poner de manifiesto que no se trata ya de una creatividad de carácter individual, a veces ilustrada por comentarios de algunos amigos, que una vez hecha definitiva por su publicación, resulta muy raro que el autor modifique. Con la red la actividad creativa puede tomar un carácter marcadamente colectivo y anterior, previo a la publicación, anterior a cualquier texto definitivo. Esto la diferencia cualitativamente, y este es el punto, de la situación que hemos vivido hasta ahora en la que el libro de historia escrito por nosotros se confunde con la Historia, con algo que simplemente ya no existe.

La Red inaugura una nueva forma de escribir y presentar ideas, y por lo tanto y en consecuencia, de hacer historia, de historiar. Imaginen por un momento y a modo de ejemplo que estamos ahora en el 2020 y a todo aquel que va a publicar un artículo, libro, tesina o tesis en papel se le exige compulsivamente antes, o está bien considerada academicamente, su presentación ante el colectivo de especialistas correspondiente (normalmente varios cientos de personas amigas, indiferentes y enemigas) en la Red. El cambio no es sólo númerico, ¿que puede quedar del texto original? ...y además uno puede tener que aceptarlo, entre otras cosas porque no es un texto terminado, sino que está aún en el proceso que lo lleva a convertirse en definitivo. Pensemos ahora en un ejemplo adjacente al anterior; para ello visualicemos la figura típica y corriente en cualquier lar del historiador amanuense, aquel que no añade nada; tendría que enfrentarse al desinteresado colectivo que sabe que no añade nada y a sus comentarios. Por ambos factores la red podría inducir entonces a la mejora de la calidad académica de la producción historiográfica, ser vehículo para el incremento de las prestaciones de la disciplina y estímulo de la verdadera creatividad como ya lo empieza a ser para otras Ciencias Sociales.
