Estimados colegas me sumo al debate sobre la historia inmediata. si partimos en nuestras consideraciones desde los padrs de la historia, herodoto y tucidides, pero especialmente este ultimo, asi proyectamos hasta el tiempo actual la labor del historiador, entonces es necesario convenir que al menos en un grado importante de nuestra actividad esta esta marcada por la inmediatez. no comparto la idea de una historia como ciencia del pasado; eso es meramente cronica historica, pero no analisis ni sintesis. por otro lado, siguiendo aqui la orientacion historiografica de la escuela historica alemana actual, especialmente la que investiga en en el instituto max planck de gottingen o en el instituto de historia contemporanea de munchen, la historia siempre es presente, inmediata, sujeta indefectiblemente a un enfoque temporal que corresponde al tiempo del historiador que, en algunos casos puede ser coetaneo con el historiador; en otros, dependiendo de la "epoca historica" analizada, pueden ser pasados, pero no podemos prescindir de nuestra temporalidad que siempre es inmediata a la labor investigativa. ahora bien, sin duda el manejo de la temporalidad y de la inmediatez dependera de la formacion multidisciplinaria del historiador, lo que en definitiva le permite comprender la fenomenologia social en sus distintos tiempos y expresiones. asi lo entendieron en españa, por ejemplo, entre otros, jose antonio maravall. bueno, los felicito una vez mas por este interesantisimo foro. sinceramente es muy gratificante poder debatir de un modo permanente con colegas de otras latitudes, atentamente, PATRICIO CARVAJAL
